Frequently asked questions
How do I upload photos or videos?
Follow the included guide to install the companion app. Turn on the Keepsake Orb, connect your phone to the direct Wi-Fi connection created by the device, then choose a compatible photo or video and upload it through the app.
Does it need a home Wi-Fi network?
No. The orb creates a direct local Wi-Fi connection for transferring content from your phone. A home Wi-Fi network or internet connection is not required for the direct transfer.
Does my phone need to stay connected during playback?
No. Once the upload is complete and the content has been saved to the orb, your phone can disconnect. Saved photos and videos can then be played directly from the device.
Is the companion app required?
Yes. The companion app is required when uploading new photos or videos. Follow the QR code or installation instructions included with the product and check compatibility with your phone before use.
Can it play videos with sound?
Yes. Keepsake Orb has a built-in speaker, allowing compatible uploaded videos to play with their original sound.
How much content can it store?
The orb has 100 MB of internal storage. The number of photos and total video length will vary according to each file’s resolution, format, compression and size.
How long does the battery last?
The rechargeable 800 mAh battery provides approximately 2–4 hours of playback. Actual battery life varies according to volume, video length, screen use and other settings.
How do the controls work?
Short press the center of the control wheel to play or pause. Press and hold it for approximately three seconds to turn the device on or off. Move the wheel left or right to change saved content, or press and hold either direction to adjust the volume.
How is the orb charged?
Recharge the orb through its USB-C charging port using the included USB cable. A USB power adapter is not included.
How should I clean the orb?
Turn the device off and wipe the glass and outer shell gently with a clean, soft cloth. Do not immerse the product in water or use abrasive, alcohol-based or corrosive cleaning products.
